Hotel Policies & Information


Cancellation and Property Information:


We offer a full refund for any cancellations made 14 days or more before the date of check-in, after that we offer no refunds or reservation alterations.

The Chandler is an invisible service and self check-in hotel and as such there is not a front desk. When booking please confirm your email address is correct as this is how our automated communications, including check-in information, are sent. 


Check-in instructions and individualized key codes are sent via text message/email two days prior to check-in date. We do not have a phone line, please respond to your booking confirmation text message/email for all inquiries (this includes reservation changes)  for an immediate response.  For all pre-booking inquiries please email us at matt@thechandlerhotel.com.


Should any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the hotel, or if any inappropriate behavior is brought to the attention of the hotel, The Chandler Hotel reserves the right to request that the guest vacate their room.


Payment & Invoicing


100% of the payment is collected at time of booking, all reservations must be made online.  An invoice can be sent by request.


Redeeming Gift Cards


Redeem by attaching the certificate to an email to matt@thechandlerhotel.com. A coupon code will then be sent you in the amount of the gift card to redeem on our website, www.thechandlerhotel.com in the promo code section.


Check-In & Check-Out Times


Check-In is at 4pm and Check-Out is at 11am.  Access codes being and stop working at these times.


Early Arrivals and Late Departures:


For guaranteed early check-in we recommend reserving for the prior night. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access until you leave the building. Late check-outs that are not approved ahead of time will be subject to a $200 fee.


Parking:


Free street parking is available on 2nd street, in front of or nearby The Chandler Hotel.  Also, the nearest free public parking lot is on the corner of Mulberry & 2nd street.


Wi-Fi:


Please reference your digital guidebook sent through our automated messages for the Wi-Fi network and password, this information is also available in the in-room guidebook.


Amenities:


Each of our eight suites at The Chandler Hotel has been designed and curated to showcase the history and wonders of Madison.  This boutique experience includes an oversized luxurious shower, local bath amenities, double vanity, mini-fridge, curated local coffee experience (coffee pot), SmartTV (complimentary Netflix), featuring premium bedding and luxe mattress.  The 2nd floor lounge has a microwave, and tea kettle.  The Chandler Hotel is also equipped with a fitness room, rooftop terrace, and spacious lobby.


Suite 101 (Trail 11) and Suite 102 (EST: 1809) have kitchenettes, including microwave, sink and large fridge.  These suites also have electric fireplaces. 


Suite 103 (Serenity on Second) is ADA and dog friendly, this suite also includes an electric fireplace.


Stairs:


The Chandler Hotel is not equipped with an elevator. Suites 101-103 are located on the first floor and suites 201-206 are located on the 2nd floor. Guests who book the second floor must be able to climb stairs.



Quiet Hours:


11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (STRICTLY Enforced – should guest violate this policy, a warning will be given. A second violation will result in immediate eviction from the hotel without refund.


Housekeeping:


We provide full housekeeping service prior to check-in. A light cleaning service during guest stay can be provided at the guest's request for $30 a day between 10a-2pm.  If you need your trash emptied, please respond to your booking message.


Occupancy:


Room capacity not to exceed stated listing guest count. Registered hotel guests only permitted in hotel.


Surveillance:


The lobby, upstairs lounge and exterior of hotel are under 24/7 surveillance.


Pets:


Should evidence of a pet be found we reserve the right to charge $200 for cleaning (this excludes our dog friendly suite Serenity on Second Suite #103)


Emotional support animals are not allowed. Certified service dogs are allowed with the following rules:


When traveling with a service animal, according to the ADA, the hotel staff only has the right to ask:


• Is your dog a service dog?

• What task(s) does your service dog provide?


Your service dog must be under your control at all times, whether this is by the means of a leash, hand gestures or voice control, your dog cannot become unruly. In addition, if your service dog were to damage anything in the hotel, you are still liable for the cost of those damages. Service dogs must be picked up after inside and outside at hotel property.


Per the ADA only dogs are considered a service animal. If you are bringing a service dog please notify us at the time of booking.


Smoking:


The Chandler Hotel is a 100% non-smoking facility. Any evidence of smoking in the guest’s room (including smell) will result in a $200 fee.


No Party Policy:


The Chandler Hotel enforces a strict No Party Policy for the comfort and security of all guests. Excessive noise will not be tolerated at any time. Should guest violate this policy, a warning will be issued. A second violation will result in immediate eviction from the building without refund.


Room Blocks:


Due to high demand and limited inventory, we do not offer room blocks.  If you are interested in booking The Chandler Hotel for your special event we recommend booking all guest suites to guarantee exclusive access to all amenities/facilities for your party.
